This is the work I'm most looking forward to in 2024-- introducing the next generation fantasy project "Fragaria Memories", presented by Sanrio!

There are many works in which beautiful men appear, but there is one project in 2023 that has received particular attention-- "Fragaria Memories" that we will be introducing here! As soon as the information was released on Official X (formerly Twitter) this summer, it attracted a lot of attention. People around me were constantly talking about it, saying things like, "Did you see that?" and "That looks amazing!"

Although information is still sparse, the voice drama is scheduled to be released in early 2024, and further development is planned for the project-- including 3DCG live performances and a stage adaptation. If you want to follow along with it, now is your chance before it starts in earnest! This article summarizes this project in an easy-to-understand manner, not only for those who don't know it yet, but also for those who are already following it, so please check it out.

"Fragaria Memories" is a"next-generation full-fledged fantasy project featuring humanoid characters" by Sanrio, which is well-known for characters such as "Hello Kitty" and "Cinnamoroll."

To explain the worldview very quickly, it is a full-fledged fantasy depicting "chivalry" in which knights rise up in response to Hello Kitty's wishes and protect the "Fragaria World" where they live from threats.

As soon as this project was announced this summer, by December of the same year, it caused a huge stir. Personally, I feel that "Fragaria Memories" was big news, ranking among the top five 2023 mixed-media projects that feature many male characters.

As characters are announced every day, topics such as "Which Sanrio character will the knight serve next!?", "What kind of design will it be?", and "Who are the illustrators and voice actors?" are becoming more and more popular-- it gives the impression that the peoples' excitement was rising steadily.

This work is a mixed-media project, and the developments that have been implemented so far include selling goods, releasing original songs, and live streaming by the cast. In the future, voice dramas, 3DCG live performances, and stage adaptations are planned. I will introduce this in more detail later.

Next, we will introduce the worldview of the story and the knights of Fragaria.

• What is a Fragarian Knight?

The setting, "Fragaria World," is a world inhabited by fairies that was once built by the "Strawberry King" who descended out of nowhere. This world is divided into three continents: red, blue, and black, and Fragaria live on each continent.

• What are "fairies"?

It seems that the fairies that live in Fragaria World sometimes have the same humanoid form as us-- but sometimes they don't.

• What is a "lord"?

Lords are the people who founded Fragaria World, and have castles on each continent. For example, one of the lords is Hello Kitty. In other words, there are kingdoms such as "Hello Kitty's Kingdom" and "Cinnamoroll's Kingdom".

• What is the relationship between the knights and their lords?

The knights of Fragaria accept Hello Kitty's wish to "save the world" and make a contract to protect their master and their kingdom. The knights do not ask for anything in return, and seem to serve with strong loyalty.

• What are "seeds"? Are they harmful?

Mysterious things called "seeds" threaten Fragaria World. They can appear on all three continents, causing various events and anxiety among people.

In addition to the official profiles of the Knights of Fragaria, information about Romarriche, Cielomort, Kurode, and Pikero that was published on the official program "Fragaria Information Bureau #1" broadcast on December 5th is also posted.

The proud sun that ties the future together, HALLRITT!

An earnest Fragarian with a strong sense of justice who works for Hello Kitty. He's proud and sincere, with a personality as bright as the sun. Answering the wishes of his Lord Hello Kitty, Hallritt set out on a journey to save the world. Despite still being a knight in training, Hello Kitty places a lot of trust on him because of his straightforwardness.

"If you stumble, it's fine to take a break. Whether it's through happy times or sad times, I'll take everyone with me!

A loose, carefree and sharp person, MEROLD!

A Fragarian that signed a contract with My Melody. Although he seems to be soft and easy-going, he has a cunning and shrewd personality and excels at having control over other's emotions. Due to his skill, he has earned the name "Strongest Knight" in the entire continent and thanks to him, My Melody has managed to build a steady kindom. He dotes on his younger brother a lot, but his feelings are never properly conveyed.

"Ehh~? What are you getting so angry about~? I'm merely doing things my own way, like i usually do ♪"

A compassionate and insightful free spirit, PURUTH!

He has an honest and friendly personality. He treats his Lord Pompompurin like a true friend rather than a master, despite being a Fragarian. A charming big brother-like guy that cherishes his friends. Although he tends to be absentminded, he's excellent at observing people and can easily get to the heart of the matter. He loves traveling and poetry, and dislikes being tied down by anything.

"Why don't we take a detour and go on a long walk once in a while? If you're alright with me, I'll listen to a few of your worries."

The strong will hidden within the depths of a tolerant nature, ROMARRICHE!

A soft-spoken and graceful Fragarian under the service of Marroncream. He is generous and patient, and is able to support those around him in a gentle, detailed and courteous manner. His hobbies are sewing and baking sweetsm both of which he learned from Marroncream. He gives off a familial and homely atmosphere, but he's actually very powerful.

"Fufu, you finally laughed. Just as I thought, a smile suits you best."

The unrestrained, wild and passionate troublemaker, RIMICHA!

A Fragarian who, despite being a knight, hates working. His Lord Kirimichan., sees him as "a guy who can do anything once he puts his mind to it". A known troublemaker, he is assertive but has a low self-esteem. He can be seen laughing a lot, but also feels down just as often. Enjoys being spoiled by caring people, such as Romarriche. He has a habit of slacking off and playing games in hiding.

"Tadaaa! Heeey, look, looooook~! I did a good job, right? Kyaha! ♡ Praise me, praise me!"

The colorful sunshine in full bloom, SANAH!

Although he is a Fragarian under a contract with U*SA*HA*NA, the two of them are close and spend a lot of time together. He has a warm personality like an everlasting summer. He is easy-going, open-minded and is always positive. Because of his traits, he is good at approaching new people. However, he dislikes negative things and is not good at facing them head-on. He loves anything related to nature, such as plants and the sea.

"Well, for now, let's just hope it will clear up and be sunny tomorrow. No point in dwelling on it! So let's live happily then, shall we? Nahahaha!"

By the way, despite Merold's cute appearance, I was suprised by his profile-- "he has earned the name 'Strongest Knight' in the entire continent". I'm looking forwad to his future appearances.

Also, be sure to check out "EVER RED" by the six Knights of the Red Bouquet. The melody, which is reminiscent of the image of "chivalry" that conveys nobility and courage, is a magnificent arrangement. It's a quick listen, but I can't wait for the chance to hear it live!

A young genius protecting the blue skies, CIELOMORT!

A young prodigy knight who serves Cinnamoroll. With his skills and popularity, he managed to quickly build up the grandest kingdom in the last 3 years. He possesses natural charisma and has a calm & gentle demeanor that attracts people, however, he can also be unexpectedly daring and bold. Outside of his knightly duties, he becomes quite the airhead. But one thing is certain-- he will do anything to protect Cinnamoroll's smile.

"It's only natural to want to protect the things that are dear to me. I'll be happy to make new friends. I'll surely show you the blue skies."

The hard worker with a sense of inferiority, KURODE!

A Fragrian contracted with Kuromi. He couldn't stand being compared to his famous older brother, who is renowned as the "Strongest Knight", leading him to wander away from his home, which is when Kuromi found him. He's blunt but is a serious hardworker. He has a strong competitive spirit and ambitious goals. However, he still feels like his abilities will never measure up to his brother's, which makes him feel inferior.

"I may not be able to compete with my older brother right now, but I'll definitely become just as... No, I'm going to do things my own way. I'll surpass him."

The messenger hiding from the world, WILLMESH!

A mysterious and elusive Fragarian to whom Wish me mell has opened her heart to. He's reserved and doesn't talk much. He has a certain ability that allowa him to get a good grasp on the essence of things, but he has a hard time conveying his thoughts properly due to his personality. He is Cielomort's childhood friend; they are good friends who trust and support each other through thick and thin.

"......I don't think it's as easy as it seems to convey something to others, is it?"

The brightest star the two dream of, KLARKSTELLA!

The younger brother of the twin knights serving the Little Twin Stars. His astrological power is guiding people. He has a cold and stern attitude towards everyone around him, and is only honest with his other brother (Louterstella), Kiki and Lala. He is protective of his older brother and will even take the initiative to protect him. He is very good with machines.

"I don't understand what you're saying. Trying to understand is only a waste of time... I'm fine with just Louter around."

The binary star who fears loneliness, LOUTERSTELLA!

The older brother of the twin knights serving the Little Twin Stars. His astrological power is protecting people. His calm and soft aura wraps those around him in a gentle atmosphere. He cares deeply for his younger brother (Klarkstella), Kiki and Lala, but what he fears the most is the peace that surrounds all of them getting disrupted or lost. He's hopeless when it comes to machines.

"Time is fleeting and it moves so quickly, doesn't it? But my bond with Klark doesn't change. Hey, Klark, stay by my side, okay?"

The hardworking rookie, MYUNNA!

A young Fragarian serving Cogimyun. He works hard at everything he does and is very energetic. He may sometimes end up going around in circles, but Cogimyun and those around him are always encouraged by his determination and earnest efforts. He stands up to challenges with timidity and suppresses his fears, but what will happen if he goes beyond his limits...?

"Myu... Myunna wants... I want to get along and become friends with everyone...! That's something I could do... if that's okay...?"

The song "Memory of the Blue Sky" performed by the Knights of the Blue Bouquet has a hidden "core strength" that is different from the Red Bouquet's passionate song. It's a beautiful song with majestic imagery of nature, such as the wind, the sky and the earth.

A self-centered and ambitious guy with a strong sense of duty, BADOBARM!

An ambitious Fragarian recklessly hired by Badtz-Maru. Despite being a knight, he aspired to become a king. While he has a self-centered personality and a rough attitude, he is still admired by his subordinates for being able to improve and maintain th ekingdom on its feet in place of Badtz-Maru, as well as for his unexpected kindness and strong sense of duty. The crocodile fairy on his shoulders, which he takes along everywhere, is named "Tama".

"Listen up, you punks! Don't leave any food behind! If you're gonna leave something, just say it and I'll eat it. Aah, I also want to try sushi, too, one day..."

The detour dog with a hidden motive, CHACO!

A Fragarian that Pochacco has brought into the kingdom out of curiosity. He is skillful with sharp senses and can easily recognize peoples' intentions. He is practically running the kingdom on Pochacco's behalf. Even though he's sociable and a friendly moodmaker, he has a calm composure and tries not to take anything seriously.

"Haha, I told you, I'm not being modest or anything. I just always take it easy. One more time...? Well then, I guess I'll have to get serious."

The foolishly honest youth spreading his wings with great ambition, ARUPEK!

A Fragarian that lives in the idyllic kingdom ruled by Pekkle, and quickly became friends with Pekkle before he knew it. He is simple, laid-back and honest. He's often unaware of peoples' hostility, but hehas a kind and passionate heart that allows him to not be easily swayed by his surroundings. He's willing to to do hard work for the sake of his own ambitions. When his emotions get the best of him, he starts speaking in a dialect.

"I don't care if I look unrefined, or even if I'm not cool, I'm still gonna work hard and make my biggest dream come true... I have to. That's what I've decided!"

A dignified and honest lad, TUXAM!

The Fragarian who strongy admires Tuxedo Sam's gentlemanly behavior. Sam was so moved by his enthusiasm that he appointed him as a knight. He considers himself a gentleman and is meticulous, expecting those around him to follow a high standard of manners and rule-abiding behavior. He is also somewhat of a class president type, who is always warning the free-spirited residents of the Black Continent to be careful, but they don't really listen to him, and he's wasting his time.

"No way! I'm a gentleman, so I'm saying this for your own good. You're only getting a warning this time-- make sure to be careful."

The strange and bizarre hedonist, HANGYON!

A Fragarian that approached the lonely Hangyodon and formed a contract with him. He's Badobarm's senior. Despite Badobarm being his junior, Hangyon's always intrigued by his abilities, so watching over him never gets boring. Because of his suspicious behavior, it's difficult to grasp and understand his true intentions. He finds practical or realistic ideas boring, often getting into arguments with Pikero and Tuxam over it. The fairy he has with him is named "Lily".

"Ni hao~♡ As you can see, I'm not a suspicious guy at all. This little one here is my friend. Isn't she cute?"

A smart and observant wordsmith, PIKERO!

This extrodinarily outrageous Fragarian signed a contract with Keroppi because he wanted to study his ecology. He's a scientist who is passionate about discovering the facts of various things, and considers the analysis of his research subjects an "adventure". He is silver-tongued and sarcastic. When dealing with others, even his colleagues, he is cynical and composed. He quickly becomes unenergetic when it comes to things that don't interest him.

"Hmm, is that your impression? A hypothesis? The occult? As expected, I guess you and I are still at odds with our perceptions. Your logic is as empty as a donut hole; it's meaningless."

The Knights of the Noir Bouquet's songs haven't been announced yet, but we expect that they'll probably be released in the new year. Be sure to check out the latest news as well!

At the "Animate Girls Festival 2023" (AGF) held in November 2023, six new projects, including the voice drama mentioned above, were announced. Here, we will summarize the future developments that have been revealed so far.

In early 2024, voice dramas that are depicted from the three perspectives of the red continent, the blue continent, and the black continent are scheduled to be released one after another. It seems like the first story will center around the Knights of the Red Bouquet... My advice for enjoying this work is to keep track of each knight's profiles, and to understand their lords (such as the Sanrio characters' personalities), which may add depth to the knights' characters. More information will be released in January, so stay tuned!

The first original song in Fragaria Memories, "EVER RED" by the Red Bouquet, will be available for karaoke starting December 9, 2023. Along with this, JOYSOUND will not only play the music video, but also allow you to sing along to the instrumental sound source that the Red Bouquet members sang to.

The standee will be displayed at Comic Market 103, at Company Booth 2141 (the "Sanrio Booth"). Comiket is to be held from December 30th to 31st, 2023. Check the official website for information on how to enter Comiket. Please note that there will be no merchandise for sale.

It has been decided that the number of stores selling goods will expand from January 2024. If you haven't gotten your hands on it yet, please take this opportunity to check it out!

Speaking of mixed-media, it seems that some projects are already being planned. This may be a long way off, but let's look forward to the next announcement!

In addition to that, the second broadcast of the official program "Fragaria Information Bureau", which was broadcast on December 5, 2023 and received favorable reviews, is scheduled for January 2024.
